“Aurora green” ltd. developed the project “Cadastre of illegal landfills in the city of Vranje”
During September 2021, our company developed the project “Cadastre of illegal landfills in the city of Vranje”. During the preparation of the cadastre, the locations, number, areas and quantities of deposited waste at landfills were identified, as well as basic data on the landfill itself, which will be used in compiling the plan for remediation of existing landfills. A total of 105 landfills have been identified. Out of a total of 32 rural local communities, only 7 have no registered illegal dumps, while in two urban settlements – Vranje and Vranjska Banja, have been recorded a total of 24 illegal dumps. The total amount of waste deposited in wild dumps recorded during the field visit is approximately 8.566 tons, or slightly more than 45.000 m3.
