Waste management training is primarily intended for the person responsible for waste management and then for all employees who are in direct contact with the waste. The main objective of the training is to acquire knowledge in the field of waste management in order to harmonize business with the regulations, avoid high fines, save and improve the waste management system.
Waste management training consists of the following program units:
1) Current regulations in the field of waste management that directly / indirectly use the business of a company;
2) Responses that have manufacturers, owners, and other states which holds or manage with a waste;
3) Special waste streams;
4) General principles of waste management and classification of waste;
5) Waste movement document;
6) DEO Form 1 – Daily waste records of waste producers;
7) GIO Form 1 – Waste producer annual waste reports;
8) Content of the Waste Management Plan.
The training is provided by instructors with years of practical experience in this field. The training also included exercises related to filling in the appropriate forms (waste records, movement document, etc.) in accordance with the Law on Waste Management. Each participant is given an agenda and printed exercise material. The seminar is followed by a multimedia presentation. The training lasts one business day for a agreed time period. After the training, trainees will be provided with the certificates confirming that they have attended the training.
In order to achieve sustainable management of biodegradable waste, new methods are found and implemented, innovative technologies suppose to be applied in order to transform waste into the valuable bio-resource. One way to reduce the amount of organic waste, but also to reduce environmental pollution while getting a valuable product is composting.
