A three-day training session for environmental protection experts was held at the “Moscow” hotel and online via the Zoom platform, conducted by lecturers from “Aurora Green”.
From June 10th to 12th, participants engaged in an intensive training covering key aspects of environmental protection in Serbia. The sessions encompassed a series of workshops that extensively elaborated on legal and technical frameworks relevant to environmental practice.
The first day of the training focused on the legal obligations of legal entities and responsible persons within them regarding environmental protection. Participants gained deeper insights into chemical accident prevention, particularly the obligations of Seveso facilities, as well as the procedures for strategic environmental impact assessment and integrated pollution control.
On the second day, attention shifted to air quality protection regulations, including monitoring and air quality requirements. Discussions also covered emissions from stationary sources, as well as water management and protection, with a detailed review of legal frameworks. Participants also received insights into noise and radiation protection.
The final day of the training was dedicated to the latest amendments to the Waste Management Act, focusing on obligations such as waste record-keeping, reporting, and waste management planning. Special emphasis was placed on waste classification, special waste streams, and examples of best practices in waste management.
